Radio Voice Saves Homeless Man (The Story of Ted Williams)

When a reporter for the Columbus Dispatch spotted a homeless guy (named Ted Williams) on the side of the road, he noticed something different. The sign. It said:

“I have the God-given gift of voice. I’m an ex radio announcer who has fallen on hard times. Please. Any help will be gratefully appreciated. Thank you. And God bless you.”

The reporter videotaped the homeless man then did a mini-interview with him. And like the sign says, the man indeed has a God-given gift of voice!

The video below was posted to the Internet on January 3. It was an overnight hit (over 4 million views in two days). By January 5 the homeless man not only had a new job (as an announcer for the Cleveland Caveliers), but his new bosses also gave him a new home. And it all started with this video…

Ted Williams is also being courted by NFL Films to do announcing for their videos.
